By upgrading to modern technology and construction methods, Campinggarten Wahlwies is exemplary in the energy sector: a solar thermal system and a wood pellet heating system heat the sanitary rooms and the shower water, and a photovoltaic system on the main building supplies the infrastructure and the pitches with electricity. For this sustainable approach, the campsite has been awarded the EU Ecolabel.
Camping in nature
In addition to the commitment to sustainable energy supply, the preservation of the orchard is a project close to the heart of the operating couple. By cultivating old apple varieties such as the Danziger Kantapfel, the Roter Berlepsch or the Gravensteiner, the campsite not only contributes to the preservation of ecological and genetic diversity, but also enables nature-oriented camping.
Holidays on Lake Constance
Campinggarten Wahlwies is the fourth campsite on Lake Constance to be awarded the EU Ecolabel. This makes Lake Constance a pioneer region for sustainable tourism and camping.
