Declaration on barrier-free access

Digital barrier-free access

We, RAL gemeinnützige GmbH, actively promote a barrier-free Internet so that all people – irrespective of their individual limitations – have unrestricted access. Our aim is to provide a website that not only complies with the technical requirements for barrier-free access but also offers everyone an intuitive and comfortable user experience.

As ensuring digital barrier-free access is an ongoing process, we continuously review and optimize our website. We regularly examine potential hurdles, adapt existing content and carry out improvements to continuously improve the accessibility and user friendliness of the website. We are committed to providing all users with an inclusive and pleasant online experience.

How barrier-free is our website?

Our website “eu-ecolabel.de” is largely barrier-free. Most of the technical requirements have been fulfilled and comply with the guidelines in EU Directive 2016/2102 and the EN 301 549 standard.

Which areas are not yet barrier-free?

Some of the content on the website still has some barriers. This includes:

  • Complex tables of data, such as here: 30 Years of EU Ecolabel or Products and providers
  • Some titles have not been fully linked to the respective content in all cases.
  • Semantic information, such as the name, role or properties of buttons, is missing in some cases.

We are continually working to identify and remove any existing barriers.

This declaration on barrier-free access is based on a review carried out by Medialen GmbH in accordance with the regulations mentioned above and the WCAG 2.1 success criteria.
