EU Ecolabel at a Special Price – What Does This Mean in Practice?
The application fees for the EU Ecolabel depend on the size of the company: Standard companies normally pay €1,800 plus VAT per application, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as companies in developing countries pay €600 plus VAT, and micro-enterprises pay €250 plus VAT.
As part of the Earth Day campaign, the application fees for tourist accommodations submitted by 31 December 2026 will be reduced by 50%. In practical terms, this means that a company that would normally pay €1,800 will now pay only €900 plus VAT – and the costs for SMEs and micro-enterprises will also be reduced accordingly. This significantly lowers the entry costs, making it an ideal time to invest in sustainable certification.
The offer applies only to the one-time application fee. The annual fee is not affected by this promotion.
