“The EU Ecolabel makes it visible to everyone that we not only think sustainably, but also act accordingly and are continuously able to align our products more strongly and consciously toward sustainability.”
What role does sustainability play in your company?
“We have a general rule of not bringing any product to market without a sustainability certification. For example, we continuously replace fossil-based ingredients with renewable alternatives. Sustainability is a fundamental mindset within our company.”

“With the experience gained from achieving several certifications, the certification process becomes noticeably easier and faster. Nevertheless, the process can still occasionally get delayed by minor details.”

“Collecting manufacturer declarations for all raw materials is a challenge with every product certification. Good communication with suppliers is crucial for success.”

“Definitely, because it demonstrates a company’s competence in developing environmentally friendly products and proves that sustainability is not just something we talk about, but something we actively live.”
What goals are you pursuing in the area of environmental or product responsibility?
“We are transforming supply chains by avoiding palm oil-, sugar-, and fossil-based raw materials and instead using renewable ingredients sourced from Europe. These include oils derived from insect fly larvae, biogas-based raw materials, and fermented surfactants. In this way, we are continuously reducing the CO₂ footprint of our products.”
